Way back in 1987 Canterbury aluminium saw a gap in the market for the manufacture and supply of aluminium doors and windows that went above and beyond the standards of the day. 

Having been involved in the construction sector for over 30 years, Chris Averill, together with his wife Nicky, purchased Canterbury Aluminium in September 2022. Chris and Nicky have set out to forge close working relationships with their dedicated staff, as well as leading industry suppliers, to ensure that Canterbury Aluminium customers are choosing from the best.

We are specialists in all aspects of aluminium joinery, offering a wide range of styles and colours to suit any lifestyle or requirement and backing it with a service that approaches each project from every angle.  

We’ve never been content just selling aluminium joinery. It’s a unique product with a massive range of uses and we want our customers to feel an integral part of the process. With the ever-changing design trends and the unpredictable weather conditions we need to understand what they need before we start offering choices. Here it helps to have a can-do mindset, and our positive attitude often helps uncover innovative solutions for our customers no matter how big or small their requirements are. Our knowledge and understanding of the consent process for building, renovation and conservatory windows and doors is a great benefit to both our residential and commercial customers.

There are many standards and laws around safety glass, multiple storey windows, the council consent process and general health and safety. 

We take the hassle out of seeking permitting and consenting requirements from the Council with our trained staff acting on your behalf to make this stage of the process stress-free.
